NEW Nutro Choice Holistic Care
November 2007
Two new foods have just been launched by Nutro under the CHOICE brand, Puppy CHOICE Holistic Care and Adult CHOICE Holistic Care. Both are promoted with the slogan ‘Nature’s Very Best Ingredients’. Chicken, lamb and salmon in the recipes provide a unique amino acid profile for dogs. This profile results in better muscle, bone and tendon development, skin and coat performance, and over all well-being. Both recipes include whole brown rice and oatmeal for energy and stamina.
Nutro have developed its new CHOICE Holistic Care as a response to demands from dog owners. Research shows that high percentages of consumers are looking for holistic products for their dog. A 2006 Gallup study of Pet Nutrition in Europe shows a high percentage of dog owners rating good nutrition, high quality ingredients and further more NATURAL FOODS. Nutro have responded to this demand with its new food, which is clearly developed and marketed to satisfy the modern pet owner’s way of thinking. Great care has been put into the development of CHOICE Holistic Care in order to bring something new to the market place!
Nutro CHOICE Holistic Care uses 3 animal proteins, 4 fat sources and 2 cereal grains to feed both mind and body and contribute to a pet’s vitality, performance and well-being. Fat sources, Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, sunflower oil, flaxseed, poultry fat and fish oil in the new foods are a natural combination of Linoleic acid and Alpha linolenic acid. This formulation helps improve skin and coat and promotes a healthy nervous system, good vision and a better sense of smell. The new CHOICE Holistic Care Puppy food also contains DHA from Menhaden Fish Oil, which contributes to a puppy’s learning and training abilities.

The foundations for the Nutro brand
were laid down in Santa Monica, California
in 1926 with the use of top quality

expand puppy range with NEW Chicken &
Rice diet

The
Nutro puppy range has now expanded
to four diets. CHOICE Puppy Medium
Chicken & Rice is now available
in 2kg, 7.5kg and 15kg sizes.
The Nutro puppy range has now become
even more targeted by offering just
the right diet for the medium sized
puppy. The new food is added to the
existing MINI Chicken & Rice recipe
for small breed puppies, as well as
established Large Breed and Lamb &
Rice puppy formulations.

small puppies, from weaning up to
12-months of age. |
For generations vets and
other professionals have often recommended
a diet of chicken & rice for dogs. Chicken
is known to be a good source of protein,

Puppy Medium Chicken & Rice contains

New
Complete Care range for cats
A significant innovation for Nutro is the
‘complete care’ formulation
now used in its total cat food range. The
range now consists of CHOICE Complete Care
foods in Kitten, Adult Chicken, Adult Fish,
Adult Indoor, Adult Light and Senior Chicken.
A Nutro food especially formulated for indoor
cats is completely new as well as a fish
recipe for the Adult food.
The philosophy behind
the ‘Complete Care’ formulation
is to take the best modern advances in cat
food production and consolidate all of them
in one product. The result being a food
formulated for skin and coat health, less
stool odour and reduced stool volume. The
‘Complete Care’ formulation
also uses Taurine for vision & heart
function and antioxidants for a healthy
immune system. It has been developed to
manage hairballs, reduce shedding and it
helps to keep a cat’s teeth clean

Nutro
applause Golden Retriever display team’s
achievements
An excellent Nutro customer, Sue Ashley,
took part in Crufts 2006 in an extremely
prestigious way. Sue’s dogs are part
of The Southern Golden Retriever Society
Display Team, which has built quite a reputation.
The team appeared in the main ring at Crufts
2006 on Best in Show evening!
These display team
dogs are true superstars touching the hearts
of all who see them perform. At Crufts the
team will be performing a spectacular 12-minute
display of formation heelwork to music.
Sue is a big fan of Nutro with 18 of the
25 dogs in training keeping in shape with
the help of the food.
The team originated 5 years ago from a group
of friends who wanted to have fun with their
dogs after gaining their Kennel Club Good
Citizen Gold Awards. The Southern Golden
Retriever Society Display Team now have
performed at Crufts 2004 and 2005, Discover
Dogs 2004 and 2005, Paws in the Park Show
and the Wag and Bone Show!
The team has also appeared on Blue Peter!
The day spent at Television Center was exciting
for the handlers and the dogs behaved impeccably,
even earning a Blue Peter badge!
Sue Ashley, a trainer at the team’s
Wrotham club, is well known at Nutro. She
has fed it to her dogs for 10-years. At
Sue’s training school 50% of dogs
with behavioral issues are helped by a diet
free of preservatives and colourings. Sue
says, “Dogs enjoy Nutro foods, I like
the company’s ethics and dogs look
well and stay calm on the food. Nutro food
has proven itself for me.” |
